I have been an admirer of Joseph Cornell for a few decades; I have seen his work co-opted and made ubiquitous through cut and paste editorial illustration, yet I am still inspired by his assemblages. I see each one as a User Interface, each one could be a web page or interactive application. Mouse over here to open this up, or click on that. We can take inspiration from the past and the present; we just have to open our minds to the idea that the past is also the future.
